Endermologie was one of the first non-surgical cellulite reduction treatments made available in the United States. It has been effectively reducing cellulite since 1996. Cellulite results from engorged fat cells that become trapped in a network of collagen fibers deep within the skin. When the fat cells become engorged the consequence is the unsightly lumpy dimpled skin that resembles cottage cheese; enter Endermologie. Endermologie in a non-invasive, non laser based treatment that is used to improve blood flow and break up fatty deposits. They system works with vacuum suction and mechanical manipulation over the most visible areas of cellulite; the hips, thighs, and buttocks.
A typical treatment requires the recipient to wear a thin garment over the skin. Rollers are moved over the skin using regulated suction and massage techniques. Sessions are reported to feel like a deep tissue massage. Normal sessions will last 30-45 minutes. Many clients will report visible results to be seen after 15-30 sessions. There is no definitive cure to remove cellulite. Monthly maintenance treatments are needed to keep skin looking smooth and dimple free.
Endermologie is not recommended for those who are 30 pounds or more over weight. Side effects to treated areas can include bruising and soreness. During treatments it is recommended to drink 8-10 glasses of water to aid the body in flushing out excess fluid. Typical treatments average $80-$100 per session. |
